The Brief

More than double, same team of one

The 2025 show ran on 18 assets. For 2026, the event needed 49: every award, every stage surface, and the moments that open and close the night. I was the only designer on it, and the six-week window had to include render time for all 49 pieces.

2.7× Output vs. 2025 (18 assets)
5 Award templates
37 Award animations

Behind the Scenes

Flat art, built into 3D

Each scene starts as flat Western artwork, split into layers and spaced out in After Effects' 3D space, with a camera moving through them to give the screen real depth. I set the award scenes up as templates, so the 37 award animations ran off 5 shared builds: swap in the name, photo and figures, then render.

Outcome

The best one yet

All 49 assets shipped on time. After the event, Moxie's leadership called it the best Live It Awards yet, and the work led directly to my promotion to Senior Motion Designer.
